This is Anastasia. She is delighted with life in Academy because it opened up many possibilities to her. So, now she can eat crisps anytime she wants!
This is another Nastya and she is always cheerful and enthusiastic.  She enjoys life and never bottles up her emotion.

This is Yaroslava. She has a burst of energy because she really loves Franch classes. In addition, she's always calm and collected.

Diana has a strong sense of purpose and derives pleasure from studying. She feels a little bit mumble but her appearance is pretty confident at all.

Here is the video I watched. I must say it made me laugh but when I watched it I felt nervous about this scream boy. He was really anxious so he can't bottle up his emotion but another man looked more contented and during the video, he always trusted into laughter. But in general, this video made my day!

The concepts of word families and word formation. Task 4

The study of any language begins with the memorization. We begin to learn the alphabet, words, etc. Approximately to reach the initial level of language we need half a year but the main question is, have we understand the structural features of the language. So, today I'm going to share with you importance of knowing word families and how it can help us in further studying.
First off, at the beginning of learning try not to cram but understand from which parts consist this word (roots, suffixes, prefixes).
The knowing of roots, suffixes, and prefixes can be really beneficial for you. Moreover, with the help of suffixes and prefixes, we can form a verb-noun, from adjective form noun or vice versal. E.g.  The word inspect(v), inspector(personal noun), inspecting(adj), inspection(abstract noun). Even considering the root of the word we can without dictionary guess the meaning of the word. E.g. Root press mean: push, press; words impressed, depressed, express.
Knowledge of suffixes is also key to good and easy learning. But be attentive, suffixes can change the word and the meaning of the word. E.g. prefix mis-=bad(ly) or wrong(ly): miscalculate sth, misconception, misconceived, misprint, misjudge sth/sb, misfire, misinform sb (about sth) and so on.
As you saw, knowing words formation can be really beneficial for you. It can not just expand your mind but make your learning easy and more effective.

How to use your dictionary to build your vocabulary. Task 2

How to use your dictionary effectively

We all know about conventional paper dictionaries which today was replaced by updated electronic version of a dictionary. Furthermore, many people think that using a paper dictionary is out of practice. So, I'm going to make a comment now, and show you my ways of using a dictionary.

  • Foremost, you need to know which type of dictionary you use, it will be easier for you to look up a word and it takes less time.
  • Secondly, you must be aware of the part of speech this word belong. Is it appropriate to the context or not. It certainly improves your knowledge about, how to deal with any parts of speech and helps to explore different ways of words using.
  • Also, try not to omit the pronunciation. In most dictionaries provide two transcriptions,  the first is British English the other is American.
As you see dictionaries can give us a wide range of not only words but expressions, idioms, phrasal verbs, slang and constructions. Put some notes and try to find your own effective method which will be totally suitable for you. Just be enthusiastic and build up confidence in what you do.

1) The word I tend to mispronounce on a regular basis:Debt (n) /det/ - an amount of money that you owe someone.

2) A few words I always confuse:
Convince, (v) - to make someone believe that something is true.
Persuade, (v) - to make someone agree to do something by talking to them a lot about it

And yet you always find a way to convince otherwise. We need to persuade them our target is elsewhere.
Wonder, (v) to want to know something or to try to understand the reason for something
Wander, (v)to walk slowly about a place without any purpose. It makes me wonder what happened that changed her.
Their ships still wander our territory making grandiose claims.
3) Words that entered the dictionary in 2016:
aggrupation, n.bocconcini, n.chiefdom, n.kindredly, adj.

Make your learning more effective 🌟 Task 1.

How to learn effectively

The question of effective learning is interesting to people very much. More than once we have had the opportunity to observe how the response of the student who spent all night studying the synopsis was not so effective as another student who taught only a few hours. Some students initially thought they are not clever enough or they just don't have special skills in this field but the whole gist lies in the fact that over the past 200 years the human brain has not changed, but the amount of information increased significantly. Just imagine. Today we get so much information in a week, how much 200 years ago, some people get in a lifetime.
So now, we will consider some my tips on, how to make your learning easier, effective and how to allocate less time to it. To say in one word to work out on the easiest but the most efficient way.
  • The first method is the one I use most often. You must divide your paper in two part in first you write, for example, the English word and in another it translation. Try to repeat the word three times and during repeating associate it with sth which reminds you this word then close your hand the first part of the words and looking at their translation, then try to reproduce them. After all summarise all you learned. Focus on the vocabulary that you need, and make sure that it’s universally useful.
  •  Creating flashcards is also a good idea, as to learn words, as revising them especially if you need repeating words many times, in order to keep them into active vocabulary you can take it with you everywhere you want. It provides you convenient training.
  • The last one will be about, how never forgive words you learned. Preferably, share it with your friend or even make a note in your diary book using new words. From time to time try to repeat them and use them as much as possible. Repeating words is also a core of good remembering.  It helps you remembering all you learned forever and it'll  remain into long-term memory.
I hope this short advice will help you to make a progress in studying especially in extending your vocabulary and provide a fluent knowing of languages.
Wish you good luck, and make sure, there is anything you can't cope with!
